However, we advise that you visit an Optus store when recharging, as this will ensure that the recharge has been done correctly and you have received the most appropriate plan.

As soon as you receive your Optus Sim card order, you must register your travel/activation date via the following link; https://simcorner.com/pages/optus and follow the prompts. Your 28 day service will activate based on the Activation Date that you provide. It is from this date that your 28 days of service will commence. It can take up to 24 hours for your activation date to be registered into the system, hence, we encourage that you complete this form as soon as possible.
Your SIM will be activated on your nominated date/s which is when your days of service will begin. The activation date is based on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). If you haven't provided 24 hours notice for activation and need your sim activated urgently or have any other queries, please contact us at support@simcorner.com.
Should you wish to change this date after your purchase, please contact us at least 3 days prior to your noted arrival date, so we can change the commencement date of your 30 day service. You can email us at support@simcorner.com to do this.
Your local Australian phone number will be provided to you once you have completed the activation process.

When you have landed in Australia and wish to commence using the sim card you will need to activate the Australia SIM card, via the Optus website ( www.optus.com.au/activate ) and follow the prompts. You need to select the "OPTUS EPIC DATA" $30 option for this pack. Your 28 day service will commence once you complete the online activation process.
Please note: When activating the sim, you will be asked for either your passport or debit/credit card details for verification purposes. You can try to activate this sim before you depart your country however, the carriers online activation system is linked with Australia's immigration system so it may not let you activate prior if your Visa is not yet valid/you have not entered the country. Please use debit/credit card details for verification, although this option could still fail whilst attempting to activate abroad. However, please do not attempt activating the sim abroad more than twice if activation is unsuccessful as the carrier will lock the sim after multiple failed attempts. You will be able to access the activation website from the sim on your phone when you land in Australia so we suggest activating it then.
Furthermore, when activating the sim online you will need to provide an Australian address - please use the address of your accommodation in Australia.

None of the other mobile data APN fields, need to be changed or adjusted, only the above.

If you wish to call an international phone number you need to include the country's calling.
For example if you are calling a phone number in New Zealand, you need to dial +64 prior to the phone number. So if the phone number is 021 2315130 then you would need to dial +64 21 2315130.
If you are wanting to call a country outside of the countries noted above, then you should use you can stay in touch with your family and friends by sending them messages and calling them via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc.

If someone from within Australia wishes to call you from their Australian phone number they would just need to call you on your local Australian phone number.
Overseas
If someone from outside of Australia wishes to call they would need to drop the leading 0 and add the Australian calling code of +61

If your friends and family have have purchase the same sim card then you will be able to call them and text them directly. However, if your friends and family are using their roaming services from back home, you will be able to text them but not call.
